Pomona, California: Client was charged with multiple major sex crime acts upon his 8 year old step-daughter,( she alleged oral copulation and anal intercourse since she was 7 years old), oral copulation of his 4 year old son, spousal battery with a prior spousal battery conviction enhancement and attempting to dissuade a witness from testifying by threats of force or violence. Client facing at a minimum, two consecutive 15year-Life terms, plus additional consecutive maximum time for the other alleged sex acts. Essentially "DIE IN PRISON" if convicted. Result, on all 8 sex crime charges, after jury trial by Mr. Bernstein, the Client was found to be NOT GUILTY. He admitted during testimony to spousal abuse and witness intimidation as an explanation for his step-daughter’s motive to lie and was found guilty of those charges. He is expected to get credit for time served and released when sentenced in September 2003.
